With Agni Sakshi starring Manisha Koirala he dealt with the theme of domestic violence for which Nana Patekar, who played an important role, got the National Film Award. He also gave some hit Bangla TV shows back in the days.

Although in the 2000s his career trajectory took a drastic turn for the worse. As he started making b-grade films that casted women in semi-porn roles he lost his hold on the heartland of Indian cinema.

Reports were that he was planning a sequel of 100 Days and Agni Sakshi. But there were no positive updates for these projects and now with his passing away the rumours will be shut forever.

The current generation is not well aware of his legacy of the 90s but to his fans he left an indelible mark.
