Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are set to reunite once again, but not for the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3. The actor-director duo is reportedly joining hands for a brand-new film. The project is expected to blend comedy with suspense in a fresh way.
According to reports, Priyadarshan has written an original story that combines humour and thrills. The film is said to explore a genre that Akshay Kumar has not attempted before. Shooting is expected to begin by the end of this year, most likely in December.
This will mark the ninth collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. The film is reportedly a comedy thriller backed by Tips Films. The announcement comes soon after Priyadarshan confirmed that he has stepped away from Hera Pheri 3 because of ongoing legal issues related to the sequel.
A source quoted in a media report said both Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are excited about the new venture. Although they have delivered several comedy and thriller films separately, this project is expected to offer a fresh cinematic experience for both.
Priyadarshan is also expected to develop the screenplay with writer Rohan Shankar. The writer had earlier worked with him on Bhooth Bangla. Their collaboration has raised expectations for the upcoming film.
The Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan partnership has delivered several popular films over the years. That is why every new announcement from the duo attracts strong attention from fans. This latest project has also created plenty of buzz.
The makers have not revealed the film’s title, cast, or storyline yet. More details are expected in the coming months. With production likely to begin later this year, fans are eagerly waiting to see this new comedy thriller on the big screen.
