The latest discussion began after Firoz A. Nadiadwala stated in a recent interview that Priyadarshan would not be part of the film. His comments quickly sparked debate among fans. Priyadarshan has now confirmed the update himself.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan said that Firoz’s statement was correct and that he is not associated with Hera Pheri 3. He also claimed that the film may never happen because of legal issues and personal conflicts. According to him, his involvement would not change the current situation.
Although Firoz had earlier expressed confidence that the project was moving in the right direction, Priyadarshan’s remarks have created fresh doubts. Some social media users questioned whether the earlier statements were made to generate attention and build excitement around the film.
Akshay Kumar’s fans also reacted strongly to the latest developments. Many urged Feroz not to make public claims until there is official confirmation. Others felt the project should be shelved if the ongoing issues cannot be resolved.
If Hera Pheri 3 eventually goes on floors, many believe the makers will need a director capable of delivering the humour expected from the franchise. Since Priyadarshan and Indra Kumar are unlikely to direct it, several fans have suggested Anees Bazmee as a suitable choice.
Even if the film is revived, another important question remains. A significant amount of time has passed since the previous instalment. It remains to be seen whether audiences will embrace Hera Pheri 3 or feel its concept has become outdated.
