Amitabh Bachchan has recalled a rather awkward question he asked his surgeon while lying on the operation table. The actor now looks back at it and calls it a silly remark.

Bachchan said he asked surgeon Dr P. Jagannath how many times he had performed the procedure. The question came just before he was about to undergo surgery, making the timing all the more awkward.

It was an emergency situation, but Bachchan’s curiosity got the better of him. He wanted to know about the surgeon’s experience before the procedure began.

Looking back, the veteran actor feels it was not exactly the right question to ask at that moment. After all, hearing a number from the surgeon when you are already on the operation table may not do much to ease the tension.

What was a serious moment at the time has now turned into a funny memory for Bachchan, mainly because of the question he chose to ask just before going under the knife.
