Singer Arijit Singh and actor Aamir Khan recently faced public attention following allegations of an unauthorised late night entry into a government college in West Bengal. The claims quickly sparked debate online and raised questions around access to public institutions.
The issue began after Ajay Adhikari, principal of Rani Dhanya Kumari College in Murshidabad’s Jiaganj, shared CCTV clips on social media. He alleged that the celebrities, along with nearly 20 others, entered the campus after 1 a.m. without official permission.
As per the post, a group of motorcycles entered the college premises around 1:05 a.m. The visitors allegedly stayed for over an hour and were accused of using the indoor games hall, possibly for badminton or shooting related activity.
The group reportedly left the campus around 2:25 a.m. However, the CCTV footage has not been independently verified. No formal police complaint has been registered in connection with the incident so far.
The matter took a turn when Ajay Adhikari deleted his posts within hours. He later stated that he was forced to remove them. He also clarified that he respects both artists but questioned the use of public institutions without due process.
Adhikari later confirmed that he does not wish to pursue the matter further. Reports suggest Aamir Khan was in Jiaganj for professional reasons and was staying at Arijit Singh’s residence, sparking speculation of a possible collaboration.
Despite the online buzz, neither Arijit Singh nor Aamir Khan has issued an official statement. As a result, the controversy continues to rely largely on unverified claims and local reports.
