Bhooth Bangla Jumps Ahead, Salman Khan Faces Heat

Akshay Kumar fans have a strong reason to celebrate as his upcoming horror comedy Bhooth Bangla will now release earlier than planned. The film was earlier pushed to May, but the makers have revised the date. Akshay Kumar confirmed April 10, 2026, through a video post.

The April 10 release places Bhooth Bangla just a week before Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan. This creates a clear semi-clash at the box office. With limited buzz around Battle of Galwan so far, a well-received horror comedy could draw early audience attention.

If Bhooth Bangla connects with viewers, it may impact the opening momentum of Salman Khan’s film. Horror comedies often enjoy strong word of mouth in India. An entertaining first week could tilt audience preference ahead of the next big release.

However, the early release also brings risks for Welcome 3. Two major comedies arriving close together can lead to audience fatigue. A similar situation occurred in 2005 when Garam Masala succeeded, but Deewane Huye Paagal struggled soon after.

The makers appear to have planned this move to maintain a clear gap before Welcome 3 arrives in June. Fans are set to get two big Akshay Kumar comedies within three months. The hope now rests on strong content to end his box office dry spell.
