VD Mocks Trolls, but Does He Deserve Border 2 Credit?

Border 2 starring legendary actor Sunny Deol along with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty is performing strongly in theatres. The film has collected 175 crore rupees over a four day weekend. The trend continues to remain positive.

Varun Dhawan faced heavy trolling after his initial look from the film went viral. His dance moves and laugh were widely mocked on social media. However the success of Border 2 appears to have shifted the narrative in his favour.

On Republic Day Varun Dhawan shared a post showing him carrying the national flag on top of his cars. Fans and paparazzi surrounded him during the moment. He added the caption Love will always triumph hate which many saw as a reply to trolls.

At the same time some feel Varun Dhawan should stay grounded. They believe much of the film’s success comes from Sunny Deol’s screen presence. Critics also feel his PR team is overstating his role and that this cannot be called a comeback for VD.
