Celebrities often choose to hide their children’s faces for years to protect their privacy. While some fans question this, incidents like the recent one involving Deepika Padukone’s daughter Dua show exactly why that choice is necessary.
A few days ago, Deepika shared photos from her Diwali celebration the first time her daughter’s face was visible to the public. Soon after, social media users began comparing her to Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s daughter Raha, commenting on who looked “prettier.”
This behaviour sparked outrage online. Many users condemned the comparisons, calling them disturbing and even bordering on pedophilic tendencies. Several pointed out that commenting on a child’s looks is not only inappropriate but deeply wrong.
It’s shocking that some people believe it’s acceptable to judge or sexualize children. Such mindsets reveal how toxic online spaces can become, especially when celebrity families are involved.
This is exactly why public figures prefer to keep their children away from the spotlight. The moment they share a glimpse, the internet crosses boundaries with invasive and offensive remarks.
The issue isn’t about which child looks “better.” The real question is why anyone thinks it’s normal to compare or comment on children at all.
After such incidents, many celebrities will think twice before sharing anything personal. Fans often demand access to their lives, and then attack them when that access is granted.
It’s time for fans to act responsibly. Celebrities deserve peace and privacy, and their children must be protected from the cruelty and obsession that thrive on social media.
