Jailer 2 Advance Bookings Pick Up Pace!!

Rajinikanth‘s highly anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is all set to hit the screens on October 15th. With only a few days left until the release, the pre-bookings for the film have now started in many centres and are happening in full swing.

Even though, until yesterday, the pre-bookings for Jailer 2 were very dull and tickets for the first day itself remained unsold, bookings picked up starting this morning. On the BookMyShow ticket booking platform, Jailer 2 is now trending with more than 12K tickets being booked per hour.

According to reports, in Kerala, with just 4 hours of advance bookings, Jailer 2 has achieved more than 2.5 crores. Hence, it is evident that Jailer 2 is going to start its theatrical run in Kerala with record-breaking opening-day numbers.

Since most of the multiplexes have still not started their pre-sales for Jailer 2 and sources suggest that it will likely begin tomorrow, it is expected that the pre-sales of Jailer 2 will see a solid jump from tomorrow onwards.

In response to these solid pre-sales, many trade experts on social media are suggesting that, even though the pre-sales of Jailer 2 are not up to Coolie and Leo, the numbers are solid, although the makers did not promote the film well and all promotional materials released from the film went largely unnoticed. Therefore, they feel that this advance sale is solely due to the sequel hype and Rajinikanth’s stardom.

Ultimately, with a strong pickup in pre-sales, the stage is now set for solid Day-1 figures for the film. If Nelson Dilipkumar delivers a compelling film with a gripping screenplay, then Jailer 2 has huge potential to do wonders at the box office.

It remains to be seen whether Jailer 2 satisfies audience expectations and emerges as a massive blockbuster success upon its release on October 15th.
