Bollywood fans are gearing up for an exciting box office battle as Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 both release on August 1. With loyal fan bases and successful prequels, the stakes are high for both sequels.
Adding a positive twist to the competition, stars Mrunal Thakur and Triptii Dimri have showcased a spirit of mutual respect. Mrunal, starring in Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn, took to Instagram to give a shoutout to Dhadak 2. She wished the best to Triptii and Siddhant Chaturvedi, who headline the romantic drama.
Triptii Dimri responded warmly, sending her best wishes to Mrunal and expressing hope that both films will find success and love from audiences. Their supportive interaction has won hearts online ahead of the much-hyped box office face-off.
Initially scheduled for July 25, Son of Sardaar 2 was pushed to August 1 to avoid a clash with the hit Saiyaara. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, and Neeru Bajwa.
On the other hand, Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 hit Dhadak. It is also a Hindi remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, with a focus on socially relevant themes wrapped in a romantic narrative.
Both films carry strong narratives and star power, making this an unpredictable box office clash. Whether Mrunal or Triptii takes the lead, only the numbers will reveal who wins this cinematic showdown.
