As a result, fans have started trolling Akshay Kumar online. Many label him a symbol of right-wing cinema in Bollywood, pointing to the political tone present in several of his films and questioning the gap between messaging and commercial success.

Fans argue that despite being vocal and visible in patriotic roles, he has not delivered a single box office success in this space. They often compare his record with films like The Kerala Story, Uri, and Dhurandhar, which found strong audience support.

Notably, none of the right-wing narrative films that became major hits featured Akshay Kumar. This has led to further criticism, with fans mocking him for publicly congratulating successful films while his own projects continue to struggle.

Many believe the issue lies in Akshay’s working style. Releasing four to five films a year, fans say he prioritises speed over depth, leaving little room for strong planning or detailed storytelling.

According to this view, even one well-crafted film could have connected with audiences if more time and care were invested. Instead, the focus on volume appears to have weakened the overall impact of his patriotic cinema choices.
