Aditya Dhar’s much awaited film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is positioned as a major release in the coming months. After the official teaser dropped, many viewers felt disappointed. The teaser repeated the same post credit scene from the first film, offering nothing new.
Beyond the mixed response, the makers now face a more serious issue. After leaked images from the sets went viral, the shoot location was identified as South Mumbai’s Ballard Estate. This brought unwanted attention to the production.
A few days ago, Mumbai Police halted the shoot after the crew allegedly flew a drone without permission. An FIR was registered against location manager Rinku Valmiki. The complaint stated that drones were used without official clearance.
Sources said Sanjay Dutt was scheduled to film a walking sequence during the shoot. The drone was used to capture the scene. Police officials clarified that while shoot permission was taken, drone permission was not secured.
With Dhurandhar: The Revenge set to release on March 19 next month, the incident adds pressure on the team. Along with the lukewarm teaser response, the FIR raises concerns about possible delays and further complications.
