Disha Patani is set to make a cameo in Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s upcoming film Romeo. Vishal Bharadwaj’s next project is expected to be a big-screen entertainer with Shahid playing the lead. The actor has earlier worked with Bharadwaj in Haider and Kaminey.
Triptii Dimri will be the lead heroine in the film. This marks her first collaboration with Shahid Kapoor. The project is currently untitled but will reportedly be an action thriller.
According to recent updates, Bharadwaj has written a special cameo role for Disha Patani. She recently made headlines for her role in Kalki 2898 AD, where many felt she was hypersexualised.
Fans are now hoping that her role in this film will be intense and meaningful, rather than just relying on her glamorous appeal. This will also be her first time sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor.
Speculation suggests that Triptii and Disha’s characters may even have a rivalry angle. A love triangle in an action-thriller format might keep audiences entertained if written well.
Meanwhile, fan wars between Disha Patani and Triptii Dimri supporters have already begun on social media, adding buzz to the film’s anticipation.
