Hard Hitting Movie Got Poor Ratings

The trailer of the movie ‘Begum Jaan‘ starring Vidya Balan in the lead which is based on the issue of the Radcliffe line drawn between India and Pakistan in 1947, during the time of partition made big promises with regard to the content.

However, the movie didn’t live up to the expectations and it got poor ratings from the reviewers in spite of good performances from some of the actors in the film. Vidya Balan played the lead role as the madame of a brothel house and it is needless to say she might have come up with a commendable performance.

The writing and the dialogue delivery are not up to the point and hence the hard-hitting concept couldn’t get deep and remained superficial. The sentimental connect is missing overall said the reviews. So, a memorable performance from a talented actress has been washed out because of the shortcomings of the writing.
