Has Akshay Come To Senses After A Sloppy Sarfira?

The disaster streak of Akshay’s flop releases doesn’t seem to leave him even after deliberate efforts to pull audiences to the theatres. We all remember the chai-samosa marketing of Sarfira! In Spite of a brilliant storyline and direction of Sudha Kongara who made the blockbuster Tamil original of the film as well, Sarfira didn’t earn much. It seems that Akshay’s oversaturated presence on screen has reduced his effect on the market.

Now, for his upcoming projects he seems to have realised the importance of entertaining the fans with something authentic. He stated in an interview that he shall be focusing on what the fans want and offering them unique stories that resonate with them. It was about time Akshay changed his approach. Rather than making 4-5 films a year it is more crucial for him to direct his discipline and dedication towards well rounded projects that raise his credibility as an actor.

Akshay will next be seen with his film Khel Khel Mein set to release on 15 August. It is a comedy drama directed by Mudassar Aziz and it will have an ensemble cast of stars like Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and Fardeen Khan. We can only hope that it revives some hope for Akshay theatrically. After this he will embark on the third instalment of fan favourite Jolly LLB. Stay tuned for more news about your favourite stars.
