The Malayalam film ‘Marco’ has gained an unexpected pace at the box office even in northern India.
After Baby John failed to have a hyped release, the screens for Marco were increased and the word of mouth for the movie has worked out well in favour of the movie.
The Hindi version of the movie was released initially with only 70 shows. But in the second week the numbers increased to 281 and on day 9, there were almost 450 shows.
According to trade analysts, on the first day of release, it gathered only 1 lakh at the box office but saw a gradual rise in numbers from the very second day. In the opening week it made a total of 0.28 crores.
From day 8 there was a sudden jump and made 0.25 crores. On day 9, it grew bigger and became 0.50 crores, marking the highest one-day collection for the movie.
Apart from being the highest grossing Malayalam movie of the year, its Hindi version has shown a massive day 9 collection of fifty times of the first day total.
Unni Mukundan’s unseen action avatar in ‘Marco’ is being enjoyed by fans from all over the country and it will not stop here. It seems that the movie will be breaking a few more records soon.
