It seems like people had quite a lot of expectations from Housefull 5. The multistarrer comedy was released a few days ago, only to receive trolls and hatred for obvious reasons.
What was supposed to be a comeback film for Akshay Kumar with an anticipated 500 crore+ business is not even able to complete its run chase at the box office.
Despite being released across 5000 screens and higher average ticket prices, Housefull 5 also had a 2-week free run. Results? Nothing.
There is really a doubt whether the film would be able to cross even the 200 crore mark.
Earlier, Housefull 5 was already criticized for zero storyline, crass comedy, and excessive skin show for the female leads, especially Soundarya Sharma. People also went on to call her just an eye candy for the film.
Akshay Kumar had high hopes from the fifth installment of Housefull but it seems like things didn’t work out well. Given that Jolly LLB 3 featuring the actor is also on the way, will it also meet the same fate like Housefull 5 and stop at 200 crore or do good business? Let’s wait and watch.
