As Dussehra celebrations ended, fans noticed celebrities marking the occasion in different ways. While many admired Kajol and Rani Mukerji at a Durga pandal in Mumbai, others focused on Hrithik Roshan and Ayan Mukerji seeking blessings together during the festival.
Their appearance immediately reminded fans of the disappointment surrounding War 2. Memes quickly surfaced, with people mocking how Ayan Mukerji had ruined the film for Hrithik and how both were now behaving as if nothing had happened.
War 2 was one of the most awaited films of 2025, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in a high-stakes face-off. Despite the hype, the film failed at the box office and left audiences underwhelmed with its execution and storytelling.
The blame game resurfaced online after the festive photos went viral. Fans argued the weak script dragged the film down, while others pointed directly at Ayan Mukerji’s direction, calling the project dull and unwatchable compared to its potential.
The sight of Hrithik and Ayan casually celebrating struck many as ironic. Fans turned their reactions into a wave of memes, turning what was a religious celebration into a platform to revisit the failure of War 2.
Celebrities may move on and remain friends beyond the set, but fans rarely forget a box office disaster. The Hrithik-Ayan meet proved once again how quickly audiences transform even festive moments into viral meme material.
