Unexpected BO Surprise: Magic of Positive Response

John Abraham’s The Diplomat was heavily praised by critics and viewers after its release on March 14th.

The film showcases John Abraham raging a war of words to rescue an Indian woman from Pakistan. As the film had a positive word of mouth throughout, it showed tremendous growth in its first two days.

The John Abraham starrer was released on Holi and opened with a collection of 4 crores at the box office. While Holi was a huge holiday, the weak promotions for the film led to a weak opening.

However, fans expected the film to collect less than its actual first-day collection of 4 crores. The reviews instantly sparked on the internet and people urged everyone to watch the film.

With the help of positive word of mouth, the film collected 4.50 crores on its second day. It was expected that the collections would be less after a National holiday, but the film defied the odds.

With steady growth, the film is expected to see more growth on its first Sunday. If the film had been highly promoted, it might have collected over 10-15 crores in its first two days.

As people realize how good the film is, it shows how positive word of mouth hugely helps a film at the box office.

The John Abraham starrer prepares for a good collection after its first weekend and it remains to be seen how the film shapes up to be ahead.
