The decline of Dharma Productions and its nepo kid campaign has become pretty self-evident these days. As per reports Karan Johar is alarmed since one after another many nepo-kids have left the umbrella of Dharma and decided to stay away.
The flicker was started by Ahaan Panday as per reports who did not depend on Dharma for his launch and gave blockbuster success with YRF. Following, many recent failures of Dharma Productions stars like Jahnvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan who at one time launched their careers under Karan have bid him adieu.
Even the new names like Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda and Suhana Khan have kept a distance from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Clearly, the flop run of highly anticipated nepo-kid projects like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Jigra, Nadaaniyan amongst others have been stated as one of the reasons.
Many netizens are claiming that this is the end of Karan Johar’s nepo-baby cartel. Finally, audiences’ verdict has proven that he cannot dictate who will be a bit in the industry.
While some feel that his influence has been huge over the past few decades and this is but a natural decline that will be recovered soon. Whatever be the case, clearly Karan seem to be stranded, will he invest more on outsiders now?
