Kartik Aaryan’s Rom-Com Clash with Alpha & Avatar?

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s rom-com Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has locked a new release date, and it has been preponed from its earlier Valentine’s Day 2026 slot. Fans will now get to watch the reunion of the Pati Patni Aur Woh stars earlier than expected.

The film will release on 31 December 2025, turning New Year’s Eve into a celebration for moviegoers. Kartik and Ananya shared the news on Instagram, saying they will spend the last day of 2025 with their fans.

This decision might delay Kartik Aaryan’s other musical romantic project with Anurag Basu. Director Sameer Vidwans seems confident, but the release date comes with high stakes as December is packed with major films.

Big-ticket titles like Dhurandhar, The Raja Saab, Alpha, and Avatar: Fire and Ash are set to dominate theatres in December 2025. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri will face direct competition from YRF’s Alpha and James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Whether advancing the release will benefit the makers or not remains to be seen. If the film underperforms, the original February 2026 release date may feel like a safer choice in hindsight.
