Magadheera Controversy Brewing in Bollywood?

Only a little while ago, the trailer of Hindi film Rabta starring Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput hit the screens. Although even the trailer itself did not get great feedback, more concerning was the fact that Rabta seemed to share plot lines with Telugu film Magadheera.

Sushant Singh cast as Jim Sarbh seems to be a reflection of the role Ram Charan played in Rajamouli’s Magadheera as he crosses lifetimes to get back his romantic interest played by Kriti Sanon. The fact is that producer Madhu Mantena own the Hindi remake rights of Magadheera so Rabta sharing such a similar plot line with the Telugu film is quite problematic.

A Bollywood source close to Mantena reported that the producer had spent a fortune to get the Hindi remake rights and has been trying to get the film made for 8 years and he will not allow any rip off to steal his thunder!
