After a gap of more than two years, Milap Zaveri is returning to the director’s seat with three big films. The lineup starts with Masti 4, followed by Tera Yaar Hoon Main and Deewaniyat.
While the films look interesting, it is wrong on the part of the producers to select a director like Milap Zaveri for all of them. Milap Zaveri has hardly delivered any hit or blockbuster over the years, except Satyameva Jayate, which was released back in 2018.
Everyone is well aware of the fact that only Indra Kumar can make the fourth part a big hit. Buthere is no specific explanation available on why Milap has been chosen to direct Masti 4.
On the other hand, Tera Yaar Hoon Main will mark the debut of Indra Kumar’s son Aman Indra Kumar, who will share the screen with Akanksha Sharma and Paresh Rawal.
Deewaniyat will have Harshvardhan Rane playing the lead. While the success of Sanam Teri Kasam’s re-release has brought the possibility of Harshvardhan getting signed for big projects, Deewaniyat might turn out to be a flop due to Milap’s directorial skills.
It has been a common practice in the film industry nowadays that any director who has given flops for most of the time in his career is allowed to helm a big project. It seems like producers are not willing to understand the requirements of the audience.
Furthermore, the makers need to have a proper check on who has delivered good results as a director most of the time. And if the usual selections are not working, they should simply hire a new director who is looking for a breakthrough in the industry.
Talking about Milap Zaveri’s upcoming films, it seems like the distributors and theatre owners are going to suffer losses if the producers don’t change their choices in the upcoming months.
The film industry is full of better directors to helm these films and it is the best time for the makers to rethink their decision before proceeding further.
