Once a Popular Heroine- Now Officially Drug Dealer

Mamta Kulkarni who played lead roles with the top Bollywood stars has been declared the accused in the Rs. 2000 crore ephedrine drug trafficking case. Kulkarni and her husband Vicky Goswami have been named in the FIR of the case and the special court has ordered to attach the immovable properties of the duo immediately.

The duo has been issued warrants by the court under Section 82 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The orders of the court have come on Wednesday after Kulkarni denied the allegations of the drug offense and claimed herself to be innocent, that she has never involved in any dealings or meeting of the Rs. 2000 ephedrine drug haul.

Following the orders, the officials have to submit a compliance report on the case within 30 days after which the court has scheduled a hearing on 10th July. Kulkarni and Goswami are now officially proclaimed by the Thane court to be the absconding accused in the drug haul case.
