Among the releases, Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar and others emerged as the highest-grosser. The film managed to reach around Rs. 160 crores. However, the recovery remained limited, with weak occupancy and low buzz from the opening day.
Sikandar released with strong expectations but failed to deliver. Salman Khan’s presence could not attract large crowds. The film closed at around Rs. 103 crores, making it a clear box office disaster for the production house.
Baaghi 4 featuring Tiger Shroff also failed to make an impact. Despite aggressive promotions and an A certificate, a first for an NGE franchise, the strategy did not work. The film ended its run at just Rs. 47 crores.
