Nora Fatehi has landed in a legal controversy after an aviation company filed a ₹3 crore civil defamation suit against her over comments she allegedly made about one of its chartered aircraft on social media.
Dunes Aviation has approached a Gandhinagar court, claiming that Nora’s remarks caused serious damage to the company’s reputation and business. The controversy dates back to December 2025, when Nora and her team reportedly travelled from Mumbai to Jaipur in a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft operated by the company.
During the journey, she allegedly recorded videos inside the plane and later posted them on Instagram.
In the videos, Nora reportedly described the aircraft as “miniature”, a “toy” and a “Lego airplane”. The company has called her remarks derogatory, reckless and irresponsible. Given Nora’s massive social media following of more than 4.6 crore, Dunes Aviation claims that the comments travelled far and affected public perception of its services.
The aviation company has alleged that the controversy resulted in booking cancellations and a 15 to 20 per cent decline in bookings, and caused reputational as well as commercial losses. It has maintained that the aircraft was appropriately sized for the journey, fully DGCA-certified, airworthy and legally operated.
Apart from seeking ₹3 crore in damages, Dunes Aviation has reportedly asked for the removal of the posts containing the alleged remarks and a public clarification from Nora. The matter is scheduled to be heard by the Gandhinagar court on September 25.
