Nussrat Jahan, a well known Bengali actress and former Lok Sabha member, is associated with the Trinamool Congress. She has acted in several popular Bengali films and continues to be active on social media. Her latest post, however, has created strong reactions online.

Nussrat is married to Yash Dasgupta, and the couple made their relationship public much later. They got married in 2022 and have a son named Yishaan J Dasgupta. She often shares moments with him on her social platforms.

In her recent post, Nussrat is seen kissing her son on the lips. Many online users reacted negatively to the photo. Some questioned how the reaction would differ if the genders were reversed.

Others defended her, stating that a mother can express affection towards her child in her own way. Supporters argued that people should stop sexualising simple moments of love. They said narrow thinking is what turns normal affection into debate.
