Prabhas` Heroine Calls It ‘Very Unfortunate’

Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Padmavati’ has been facing controversies after controversies. Many Rajput groups had accused filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali of distorting history to make a film that sells. The CBFC was apparently threatened by one such group to get the filmmakers to remove the objectionable scenes or face consequences.

The latest problem for the film was receiving a certification from the CBFC and being sent back for editing which caused the movie’s release date to be shifted to January next year. While the cast of ‘Padmavati’ are quite sad about this delay, it seems to have made some impact on the other Bollywood stars as well.

Popular actress Shraddha Kapoor, who will soon be appearing in the film ‘Saaho’ opposite Prabhas, has also expressed her sympathy for the film at a Skechers shoes launch event. The young actress, who will be working with actor Prabhas for the first time in ‘Saaho’, found the problems being faced by ‘Padmavati’ “very, very unfortunate” and said that , “It is very saddening what’s happening” with the movie.
