First ‘Female Only’ Driven 100 Cr Blockbuster

The Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi is seen as a game changer for films starring only heroines in the lead. The movie has become the first female-only driven 100 Cr collecting flick.

Raazi has crossed 100 Cr on its third Sunday. The collections were slightly affected by the semis and final match of the IPL. But even that didn’t stop the movie from crossing the milestone. It is the third 100 Cr grosser for her overall, but unlike the previous two occasions, Raazi did not have a proper male lead star.

In the past, Tanu Weds Manu Returns also went past 100 Cr, but that had a sequel value along with containing proper mass entertainment. Raazi is a multiplex thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar and was solely relying on Alia Bhatt’s star power to create impact at the box office.
