Clear Stunt to Promote Star Hero’s Movie!

‘2.0’ villain Akshay Kumar is coming to this Republic Day with his movie ‘Padman‘, a biography that is based on the real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganatham who made low-cost sanitary napkins and brought about an awareness among his folks who considered menstruation a stigma.

While promoting the movie, the heroine of the movie Radhika Apte revealed how her mother and father threw a party and celebrated her first period and even brought her gifts, though she was crying. She said they have invited her friends and relatives when her first menstrual cycle started. They are doctors and hence, educated her about the menstrual cycle and its importance.

Going by the theme of the movie, this revelation looks like a clear stunt to promote the movie. However, one would have no qualms regarding this stunt as the movie is made with good intentions and addresses one of the major problems that still exist in rural India
