Will Arjun Reddy Starlet’s Struggle End with Comedy?

Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma reunite for Rahu Ketu, a Zee Studios and BLive Productions comedy releasing in cinemas on January 16, 2026. You see the Fukrey pair return to a space where timing and chemistry matter.

Vipul Vig directs and writes the film, bringing the style you recognise from the Fukrey franchise. He blends humour with hints of folklore and social satire, giving you a story set in a modern world with a mythological twist.

The makers describe the film as a light and playful take on how mythology fits into today’s life. It also adds relief from the steady line of action and romance films filling theatres right now.

Shalini Pandey plays a leading role with Piyush Mishra, Chunky Pandey, Amit Sial and Manurishi Chaddha forming the ensemble. For Shalini, this film holds weight as her journey after Arjun Reddy hasn’t settled into a steady run.

Her recent Hindi film and OTT projects, including Maharaja with Aamir Khan’s son, earned only modest attention. Rahu Ketu now places her in a space where she can reconnect with a wider audience.

The motion poster, driven by a catchy Paapi tune, has already created online interest with its playful tone. Zee Studios says the film balances heart, humour and cultural flavour rather than relying on formula comedy.

With Vipul Vig’s experience and the Fukrey duo’s proven timing, Rahu Ketu aims to revive situational humour in theatres. You now wait to see how the team delivers on that promise.
