WAR 2 Director’s Dream Sequel: Ranbir Confirms

Brahmastra was undoubtedly one of the most hyped up films in recent memory with Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukherji pulling every trick in the bag to generate buzz ahead of the film’s release in 2022.

The film ultimately released at the box office and was mediocre at most. Critics and viewers were not heavily impressed by the film and gave average reviews for the film.

Made on a budget of over 400 crores, the film managed to collect around 400 crores worldwide almost gaining no profits for the makers. Being one of the most anticipated releases of 2022, it came out as another average film after its release.

The film hinted at a sequel during the end credits, but after the underwhelming business it did at the box office, people thought that Ayan Mukherji is not in the mood of creating a sequel for the film.

However, Ranbir Kapoor has confirmed that Brahmastra 2 is in the works and given the amount of hard work and time Ayan Mukherji has spent into Brahmastra, he will certainly give it a go.

“Brahmastra is something that Ayan Mukherji has nurtured for years. We haven’t made any announcements, but Brahmastra 2 is happening for sure. You’ll soon see some announcement coming your way,” said Ranbir Kapoor during Alia Bhatt’s recent birthday celebrations.

Ayan Mukherji is currently busy with another much-awaited action entertainer with War 2 and would look to start his schedule for Brahmastra 2 once the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer releases.

As the first installment of the film created a lot of buzz but failed to live up to its hype, it remains to be seen if Brahmastra 2 will be able to capitalize on its budget and hype as Ayan Mukherji once again tries to pull every trick from his bag.
