Can Ranveer Beat Ranbir at BO? Dhurandhar Best Chance?

You have seen newcomers enter the industry for decades, but Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor now stand as two strong names with over ten years of work behind them. They walked through different genres, yet the comparison feels unavoidable. The question many ask is simple—who stands a step ahead today?

Both actors often explored new characters. They never stayed in one box. Right now, Ranbir Kapoor holds a slight lead over Ranveer Singh in public perception.

Ranveer once stayed in the spotlight with his airport looks and sudden public appearances. After 83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar failed post-pandemic, he stepped away from constant visibility. He keeps things private and lets work speak.

Ranbir, on the other hand, never chased attention. He avoids unnecessary platforms and focuses on films. This limited exposure seems to help. Audiences feel curious before his releases, which builds hype naturally.

Animal changed things further for him. Ranbir turned into a mass hero, something Ranveer has not attempted yet. Simmba worked as a blockbuster, but the tone stayed light and commercial, not intense like Animal.

At the box office, numbers tell another story. Animal earned around Rs. 920 crores, while Padmaavat collected Rs. 570 crores. Ranveer’s film was a hit, but the credit was shared with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.

Ranbir now has three major projects lined up Animal Park, Ramayana, and Dhoom 4. Success is never guaranteed. One wrong script or directorial choice can shake the momentum he built.

Meanwhile, Ranveer returns with Dhurandhar next month, and he seems ready to show you a new side of himself. Buzz is strong, and expectations stay high. You will soon watch whether he brings crowds back and challenges the Rs. 920-crore benchmark set by RK.
