Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana now looks set for a delay, as the shoot is facing scheduling issues. Because of these uncertain dates, Ranbir Kapoor has reshuffled his commitments. He is now giving priority to another project instead of the epic.
Recent reports confirm that Ranbir will focus on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War before returning to the second part of Ramayana. Ranbir initially planned to finish Ramayana and then move ahead with other films. But the large-scale production is taking longer than expected.
Insiders say Ranbir wanted to complete both parts of Ramayana before starting Love and War. With the shoot falling far behind the expected timeline, he did not want to keep Bhansali waiting. This move now pushes Ramayana Part 2 beyond its earlier late-2027 target.
Fans feel disappointed as they hoped to watch the full story soon. Ramayana has been in the news ever since its announcement because of its scale, global team, and cultural relevance. The film features Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Ranbir as Lord Ram, with Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, and Arun Govil in key roles.
Meanwhile, Love and War brings together Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in a romantic action drama. The film is targeting an August 14, 2026 release and marks Ranbir’s reunion with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Saawariya.
