Ranveer Singh is back in the spotlight after the massive success of Dhurandhar. As discussions around the sequel continue, attention has now shifted to his next project. Fresh updates about the film have triggered strong reactions across social media platforms.
As reported earlier, Ranveer Singh will headline a zombie film titled Pralay. Kalyani Priyadarshan is signed as the female lead opposite RS. Online reports now claim the film’s budget may touch Rs.250 crores, similar to the investment made for Dhurandhar.
While fans believe Ranveer Singh can recover such a huge budget after his comeback, others remain worried. Many feel the makers are overspending due to one recent blockbuster, which increases financial risk if the film underperforms.
Some have suggested limiting the budget to Rs.100 to 150 crores for safer recovery. Others say the outcome will depend on release timing and promotional hype. The film’s box office fate may hinge on how well expectations are managed.
Pralay marks Ranveer Singh’s entry into a new genre, which may help him sustain his star image. However, concerns exist around director Jai Mehta, who has not handled such subjects before. Comparisons are drawn with Aditya Sarpotdar, who succeeded with Munjya.
At present, Pralay requires a strong script to justify its scale. With no comedy and a pure thriller tone, the film offers Ranveer Singh a fresh canvas. The industry now waits to see if this collaboration delivers as promised.
