Ranveer Singh’s Most Shocking Step After Dhurandhar?

Ranveer Singh after Dhurandhar success

A fresh whisper in industry circles has sparked speculation about whether Ranveer Singh has exited Don 3. The film is backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and has been one of the most anticipated projects.

Following the massive success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer is reportedly rethinking his future choices. A source claims that the actor’s priorities have shifted regarding the kind of projects he wants to take up next.

The source added that Ranveer is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagraj and Atlee. It is said that he does not want to appear in back to back gangster films. Dhurandhar has already occupied that space strongly.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, this is also why Ranveer asked filmmaker Jai Mehta to postpone the shoot of their upcoming project tentatively titled Pralay.

Pralay is described as a zombie fiction film. It focuses on how far a man can go to protect his family under extreme circumstances. The postponement has further added fuel to the ongoing speculation.

These developments suggest that Ranveer is carefully aligning dates and schedules for his upcoming films. This has led audiences to question whether Don 3 will be dropped from his immediate lineup.

However, trade analysts and insiders have offered a different view. Industry tracker Sumit Kadel stated that rumours of Ranveer exiting Don 3 are mere speculation. According to him, the actor has only pushed the shoot until the release of Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for April 2026.

Considering the scale and legacy of the Don franchise, Ranveer stepping in as the new Don after Dhurandhar’s huge box office run could create massive hype. The film is currently eyeing the Rs 600 crore net mark.

While some fans feel skipping Don 3 could be a missed opportunity, others support his attempt to diversify his filmography. Whether he continues the Don legacy or chooses a different path, Ranveer Singh remains an actor who keeps audiences engaged.
