Real Test For Bollywood And Its Star

The year 2016 has been terrible for Bollywood. In fact, it would be an understatement to say so. Only one film collected 300 Cr domestically and none of the other biggies managed to cross the 150 Cr mark. That’s how poor it has been and that was before the demonetization happened.

Post the currency issue things have been even worse. Many films are getting their shows canceled due to lack of audience. The makers themselves realizing the situation are giving a multiplex heavy release and ignoring single screens. Amidst this dreadful situation arrives Aamir Khan with Dangal.

The star has his problems courtesy the “intolerant remark”. Adding that to the current scenario, all eyes are on Dangal to see what can the star do and how much can Bollywood redeem in this last week of noticeable release. Can Aamir Khan hit it out of the park and dismal all the myths and naysayers, one and for all? We will know in few days. Dangal arrives in cinemas on December 23.
