Star Hero Scared of a Newcomer? Unreal Downfall?

Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 has been officially postponed to August 1, 2025. It was originally supposed to release next week on July 25, 2025. Saiyaara has been revealed as the reason behind the postponement.

A source stated that Saiyaara has left everyone surprised with its collections of the first day, specifically for a film that feature two new faces. The film is expected to witness a big jump on the second and third day and the popularity of the film won’t end in a week.

The makers believe that in such a situation, the release of SOS 2 after a week is not a good decision as it will impact the business that is being expected.

Notably, SOS 2 will now clash with Dhadak 2 on the same day and the former’s decision behind finalizing the release date of July 25 has previously led to the postponement of another film, Param Sundari. But these strategies are not enough to save the film since content decides everything.

Back in 2012, Son of Sardaar clashed with Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The makers did not think of the box office results at the time since SOS 2 was full of entertaining content at the time. But this time, it seems like they are not confident since the trailer and songs have not created enough buzz.

The latest decision does not look good for a film which features a big superstar like Ajay Devgn. Moreover, Bollywood needs big films every week, irrespective of the box office collections and the new decision has hinted that makers of SOS 2 are undoubtedly scared of Saiyaara.

Now SOS 2 will create a big obstacle for Dhadak 2, which had the potential of doing well at the box office if the content was up to the mark and hard-hitting. However, since the decision has been made and nothing can be done now, let’s wait and see which film will leave a big impact at the box office.
