Audience Going Crazy: Time Has Come for SB, AC, KJ?

Saiyaara has now officially joined the 2025 Bollywood blockbuster’s list, marking its breakthrough as the return of love stories in mainstream Hindi cinema.

Theaters across the country are reporting houseful shows, which many believe is a testament to the film’s ability to capture audiences with a simple, heartfelt story.

For a while now, Bollywood has been obsessed with action sagas, especially post-pandemic. Moviegoers have complained about this issue time and again, pleading with filmmakers to deliver the nostalgia of the 2010s.

Fans say Bollywood finally listened to their pleas, and Saiyaara’s success demonstrates the beginning of the return of love stories to Bollywood.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the movie’s lead actors, became overnight sensations. Industry experts predict that top filmmakers will flood them with higher-profile offers in the coming weeks.

This hype reflects a larger shift, as films like Param Sundari and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari are expected to ride this wave of non-action films and perform well at the box office.

Projects like Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu’s upcoming film, De De Pyaar De 2, and Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri are also gaining traction, riding on the renewed audience interest in romance and drama.

Many are also anticipating what surprise treat Dhadak 2 might offer, as the film’s trailer has also been a trending topic on social media.

This era also marks the return of the masters of romance, love, and drama, namely Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, and Sooraj Barjatya, with fresh new talents.

Saiyaara’s popularity has paved the way for romance films to take back the center stage in Bollywood, raising everyone’s eyebrows and heartbeats.
