Ever since Sony India has secured the rights to make Shaktimaan as a feature film, the market is buzzing. The speculations of Ranveer Singh being cast as the superhero has taken social media by a storm.
Yet all has not been easy on the production front due to which no updates about the film have come in long. Even the original Shaktimaan, Mukesh Khann, presented his doubts about Ranveer’s potential and was upset with his nude photoshoot.
The film has a huge budget of 400 crores and to make things easy on the financial front the team wishes to sell the digital rights. But it has come to notice that the digital platforms don’t trust Ranveer Singh as much.
They are suggesting that Ranbir Kapoor should be cast in the lead role. Ranveer’s last few performances like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and Jayeshbhai Jordar were mild on all platforms.
On the other hand, Ranbir has overcome his dull spell ever since he was cast in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and he is set to appear in its sequel too. It will be interesting to see the fate of Shaktimaan the movie.
