Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa Receives Another Bomb Threat in Mumbai
Mumbai was placed on alert after several locations, including Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence Jalsa, received bomb threat emails. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Worli Racecourse and Bombay High Court were also among the targets.
Police teams rushed to the locations and began extensive searches. Security was tightened across the city as officials tried to trace the source of the threat emails. So far, no suspicious objects have been found during the searches, officials said.
This is the second time in three weeks that Amitabh Bachchan’s residence has received a bomb threat. On October 22, a threat message claimed that a bomb would be planted at his Juhu residence, Jalsa. An investigation later found that the threat was fake.
The latest threats have also raised concerns about the safety of celebrities in Mumbai. Security worries in the film industry increased after the recent firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car. Following that incident, security was increased outside the homes of several prominent actors.
Amid the repeated threats, Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen interacting with fans while standing behind bulletproof glass outside his residence. The latest threat has once again brought the security of Bollywood celebrities into focus.
