No Big Hit Since Vijay’s Leo: Can Dhurandhar Save?

Dhurandhar is creating headlines every day. Among the five male leads, Sanjay Dutt’s character has become a major point of discussion among the general public.

Considering the massive scale of the project, trade experts are questioning Dutt’s comeback potential. This concern mainly stems from the difficult phase he entered after the mega success of K.G.F. Chapter 2.

The North Indian audience showed little interest in his roles in the Hindi-dubbed versions of Leo and Double iSmart. Leo was still a hit in Tamil Nadu, but that did not help his Hindi market.

His Hindi films also struggled. Even Housefull, a big franchise, suffered heavy losses with its latest entry. Similar results were seen with Baaghi 4 and The Bhootnii.

Some believe Sanjay Dutt has lost his intense screen presence. Others feel poor script choices have led to this period of decline rather than his performance.

With Dhurandhar, netizens are curious to see him in a different shade. The trailer seems to have hidden many key elements, raising hope that Dutt might be the standout performer once the audience steps out of theatres.

Promotions for this action drama have been successful so far. The trailer generated strong buzz. However, with so many characters, people wonder whether Sanjay or anyone else may get overshadowed.

Dutt is also under pressure to deliver a hit. With a heavy budget, Dhurandhar needs a strong opening and steady positive reactions to run for several weeks. The content will decide its fate on release day.

As the film industry faces uncertain times, many are waiting to see whether Dhurandhar can meet expectations and bring good news for the distributors.
