Will Salman Khan Return as to His Iconic Character?

Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has spoken about the possibility of working again with actor Salman Khan. He said their long association remains important, but there are currently no immediate plans for a new film together.

During a recent interview, Sooraj Barjatya explained that any reunion would depend on the right story and timing. He said a collaboration would only happen when a suitable script and circumstances come together.

When asked if fans could expect another project soon, the filmmaker responded that nothing is planned at the moment. He added that they would have to wait for the correct time before moving ahead with any future film.

Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan share one of the most well known partnerships in Hindi cinema. Their collaboration began with the film Maine Pyar Kiya released in 1989.

The movie helped establish Salman Khan as a leading romantic hero in the industry. The duo later worked together on popular family dramas such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! in 1994 and Hum Saath-Saath Hain in 1999.

They reunited again for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015. Through these films, Salman Khan’s character named Prem became closely associated with Sooraj Barjatya’s storytelling style.

His films often focus on family values, relationships and romance. This approach helped shape some of the most successful family entertainers in Hindi cinema.

During the discussion, Sooraj Barjatya also shared insights about his casting process. He said that characters usually guide casting decisions and that selecting the right actor is essential for a role to work on screen.

He added that some of his earlier scripts were written with Salman Khan in mind. According to him, choosing the wrong actor can weaken how a character is presented in a film.

On the professional front, Sooraj Barjatya recently released the show Sangamarmar. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing for his upcoming film Battle of Galwan.
