After their successful collaboration on Uunchai (2022), Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films are reuniting for Sooraj Barjatya’s next directorial. The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, is set to go on floors on November 1.
This new romantic family entertainer marks Barjatya’s return to his signature filmmaking style — heartfelt storytelling rooted in family values, emotions, and traditional bonds. The project is expected to cater to audiences seeking warmth and nostalgia in cinema.
Jointly produced by Rajshri Productions, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Anita Gurnani, the film is designed as a wholesome crowd-pleaser for all age groups. The collaboration between Rajshri and Mahaveer Jain follows their positive experience working together on Uunchai.
For Ayushmann Khurrana, this film follows right after his Diwali release Thamma, a horror comedy arriving in theatres on October 21. He recently confirmed his association with Barjatya’s project during FICCI Frames 2025, calling it one of his two family-centric ventures this year.
Co-star Sharvari, meanwhile, is preparing for Alpha, YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led film alongside Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol, scheduled for a Christmas release. Her involvement in Barjatya’s project adds another major title to her growing filmography.
Producer Mahaveer Jain, fresh off his upcoming venture Naagzilla with Kartik Aaryan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, seems determined to strengthen his foothold in mainstream cinema.
Fans are now hoping Sooraj Barjatya will recreate the magic of the 1990s family blockbusters like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain. With today’s audience craving emotional, feel-good stories, this film might just be the comeback Bollywood needs.
