Special treatment for royal couple annoys many

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Indian visit has been in the news from quite some time now. But their holiday in Agra today seemed to rub off many in the wrong way. After their two day visit to Bhutan, the royal couple headed straight away to Agra for visiting the historical Taj Mahal.

Everything looked nice in the inside where the couple were being escorted throughout the lush greens lawns of the Taj Mahal. But those who were outside had a tough time. Reports suggest that the Indian government shut down several lanes and stopped the Indian visitors outside before allowing the couple to finish their sight seeing first.

A number of visitors who came from far away areas had to stand in the queues for long hours to get inside. This has rubbed many in the wrong and they were seen making comments that the news of the couple coming to the Taj should have been announced before so that people from far away areas could have planned their visits accordingly.

But that is India for you as everything happens at the last minute and the powerful get the upper hand always.
