Sunny Deol Back: So Why Big Banners Still Avoiding Him?

Despite this comeback, Sunny Deol has not been signed by any major production banners. Trade experts have now shared their views on why big companies are staying away from the actor.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that Sunny Deol was always part of major films in the past. However, he never actively chased popular production houses for roles.

Producer Atul Mohan shared a different perspective. He said not every banner can do justice to Sunny Deol’s aura and larger-than-life screen image.

A similar view came from Roopbani Cinema owner Vishek Chauhan. He mentioned that many producers see Sunny Deol as someone who has returned from another era. He added that South filmmakers understand his image better.

Online users expressed disappointment with major banners for not approaching Sunny Deol. Some users questioned popular production houses like Dharma Productions, especially during a phase when they have delivered multiple flops.

At the same time, Sunny Deol’s fans defended his decision to stay away from random banners. They felt many production houses damage an actor’s established image. Netizens suggested he focus on medium-budget action films for better returns.

The debate gained momentum because Lahore 1947 is the only upcoming film produced by a well-known name. The rest of his lineup features relatively unknown producers.

With Border 2 crossing more than Rs. 300 crores and other releases lined up, it remains to be seen if Sunny Deol can sustain this momentum in the coming months.
