Taapsee & Megastar Son Smoking & Deleted

Taapsee has been doing great on the professional front and her recent release ‘Manmarziyan’ has been receiving accolades of praises for her performance. Nevertheless, the film had been under the radar for hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community and hence, three scenes were deleted after the release.

Taapsee was seen smoking in a scene and also Abhishek Bachchan. Both the scenes had to be deleted as they were playing Sikhs in the movie. So, the RTI activists found fault with the scenes. Besides those two smoking scenes, there was another scene in which the duo is entering a Gurudwara for their marriage and Taapsee is thinking of her ex-boyfriend.

Though a case was lodged against the makers of the movie, the producers had already chopped the objectionable portions approaching the Censor Board of Film Certification even before any order came from the court. They wanted to respect the sentiments of the people and hence, they took expert advice while shooting certain parts, said the makers.
