Udta Teer Public Talk: Mockery of Dhurandhar Working?

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer has arrived in theatres on October 23, 2026. The trailer and teaser created a lot of buzz, and the public reviews are out now on social media.

The overall response has been positive, with many people calling it a fun entertainer that can be watched by the entire family. People praised the storytelling, saying that it is going to attract the masses and that the plot is supported by some outstanding characters.

Some others stated that a good comedy film has come out of Bollywood after a long wait. They said that considering the positive word-of-mouth, Udta Teer has a chance of surviving at the box office.

While Ayushmann’s performance has been praised, a few believe that it is Gulshan Grover and the late actor Mukul Dev who take away the spotlight from everyone else. People wrote that the film’s dialogues and punch lines are the biggest plus point, and they hold the attention of the audience.

On the other hand, a particular section claimed that the film is a mess with a lot of things happening on screen. Some said that the comedy looks outdated, and since Ayushmann has done multiple films in this genre so far, the script fails to bring any freshness to his character or performance.

Rahul Bose is another actor who is getting appreciation for his role. People said that this is better than his performances in other films over the years. One thing that is also getting praise is that the movie looks like a spoof or reverse of other spy thrillers like Dhurandhar.

The major criticism has been towards Sara Ali Khan, with netizens writing that she should have avoided the film since she has hardly anything to do on screen. A few questioned the makers for not giving a better role to the actress, giving her a chance to shine among everyone else.

Although the film’s advance booking was not so good, trade experts believe that it will pick up since the movie has been loved by the majority of the audience. However, they also cautioned that outstanding business cannot be expected since such films cannot bring big crowds on Mondays.

Ramayana is the next big release in theatres, and with only two weeks left for Nitesh Tiwari’s film, Udta Teer has the perfect opportunity to entertain the audience. Let’s wait and see if it will survive for a long time on the big screen.
