The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer has finally arrived. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the movie is releasing in theatres on October 9, 2026.
The trailer has a lot of comedy moments, and the punchlines are expected to be well-received by the audience. The concept looks novel as a Pakistani spy loses his memory and joins India’s Counter Terrorism Squad, leading to a lot of hilarious moments.
Ayushmann is expected to leave an impression as always, and Sara Ali Khan also looks good on screen. There is also a strong supporting cast, including veterans like Ram Kapoor and Gulshan Grover.
While the trailer is up to the mark, the movie’s survival at the box office has now raised a lot of doubts among the audience and trade experts. A majority have already declared it a flop or disaster, saying that it does not have a chance to work at all.
The main reason people say that it won’t work is Drishyam: The Conclusion. Udta Teer is arriving exactly a week after Ajay Devgn’s film, which has already created a lot of hype among the audience due to its franchise value and the curiosity to see how Vijay Salgaonkar and his family will escape this time.
Drishyam is expected to get a big opening, followed by a successful run of multiple weeks, considering the content that it is expected to bring to the audience. Trade experts believe that even with an average content, Drishyam will continue attracting audiences for a long time.
In between all this, a comedy film with Ayushmann and Sara is not expected to work at the box office. The wave of Drishyam is not going to end so easily, and with positive word-of-mouth, Udta Teer can somehow touch the mark of Rs. 50-80 crores.
A few social media users even questioned Dharma Productions, asking whether they were insecure about Drishyam and the buzz that it has generated before release. It might be true, but these are just social media speculations.
Although the fate of Udta Teer is not so good at the box office, trade experts are waiting to see if any kind of miracle will save the film from drowning.
