Wamiqa Gabbi seems ready to step into Maddock’s Horror-Comedy Universe (MHCU). Her latest social media post has sent fans buzzing across Bollywood.
The actress shared an Instagram Story featuring a gift hamper from Maddock Films, captioned “New Beginnings.” She deleted it soon after, but that brief post was enough to spark excitement and fan theories.
Maddock’s MHCU, created by Dinesh Vijan, began with Stree (2018) and expanded with Roohi and Bhediya. The films mix Indian folklore with humour and social themes, making the universe one of Bollywood’s most successful experiments.
This Diwali, Thamma starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna is set to hit theatres. Upcoming titles like Shakti Shalini and Chamunda are expected in 2026, showing how fast the franchise is growing.
Wamiqa’s connection with Maddock runs deep. She recently starred in Bhool Chuk Maaf with Rajkummar Rao, the original MHCU lead, which fuels speculation about her next move with the banner.
If she joins, Wamiqa would follow the path of Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna all key female leads in the series so far.
Industry chatter even hints that Alia Bhatt could join the MHCU with Chamunda, adding more star power to the already buzzing universe.
For now, Maddock Films remains silent, leaving fans to guess which project Wamiqa might appear in. Whether it’s Shakti Shalini, Chamunda, or another untitled film, her presence would add fresh energy to the spooky and comic world Maddock has built.
